I grew up in the White Mountain National Forest in northern New Hampshire and my childhood was totally normal. Just kidding. It was super weird and I knew I had to write a book about my hometown. We made soap from scratch and built a trebuchet. Normal, right? Lexi's life in The Iron Dreamers is actually a hybrid between my experience and my best friend - who was my inspiration for the main character.

I went to university for mathematics, but I didn't want to become a professor or work in tech where I'd sit behind a desk for 80+ hours a week. So, I moved to Los Angeles and became a science communicator. A relatively new concept, science communication has become a leader in helping bridge the gap between seemingly unreachable concepts for the average person.

Quantum computers.

Space Travel.

Higher Dimensions.

Normally reserved for graduate school, we bring these concepts down to Earth so that anyone can appreciate them. Now I have the opportunity to make educational videos, consult screenwriters, work on television, and write sci-fi books.

I wrote The Iron Dreamers because I'm a nerd from the woods, and I had plenty of time to formulate an existential crisis.
